This Is Daniel Cook - Here We Are (CD)

Each track on this CD is inspired by an episode of the Gemini Award-nominated live action "This is Daniel Cook" show - for instance, the song If I Had a Dinosaur relates to episodes where Daniel Cook learns about dinosaurs and digs up dinosaur bones.

In one special episode, Ed Robertson (Barenaked Ladies) teaches Daniel Cook to write music, resulting in the catchy tune It's Daniel Cook - one of more than 20 songs appearing on the CD. Besides Ed Robertson, the CD also features vocal performances by Melissa McClelland, Keith Macpherson (of Canadian Idol fame) and Sarah Morrison. Melissa McClelland - who sung the original This is Daniel Cook Theme Song - provides vocals on an extended version of that song on this CD.

The CD includes original songs, classic favourites and traditional children's music such as Puff The Magic Dragon and The Candy Man. It is an eclectic mix of musical styles designed to introduce children (and their parents) to the wonderful sounds of classical, pop, big band, country, polka, hip hop and more.
